Response to the cold wave and freezing temperature

In early January, it was anticipated that the cold wave in Terai and freezing temperature in the uphills of Karnali Province would affect the lives of many vulnerable households.

In response to the same, with the support of Start Network , CARE Nepal led consortium with MercyCorps and ActionAid Nepal distributed vouchers worth NPR 13,500 to support food and winterization kits in Siraha, Saptari, Kapilvastu, Banke, Bardiya, Mugu, Kalikot, and Jumla.

We have reached 1,236 households with the support so far.
