We seek a world of hope, tolerance and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and all people live with dignity and security.
OUR FOCUS
We put women and girls in the center because we know that we cannot overcome poverty until all people have equal rights and opportunities.
IMPACT GROUPS
We cannot eradicate poverty and achieve social equality in Nepal while discrimination based on sex persists. By focusing on women and girls, CARE aims to help entire households and communities achieve development and inclusion. Thus, CARE will partner with and target its impact for economically and socially marginalized women and girls—with a specific focus on women and girls within the following four groups in Nepal:
- Adolescent girls (ages 10-19)
- Urban and peri-urban communities
- Women-headed households
- Dalit and ethnic minorities in the Terai and Western Hills
